Shared reading is a very relaxing and positive experience and is open to all ages, backgrounds and abilities. The poem and story are then discussed and this will often spark connection, reflection and discovery. Group members can also read aloud if they desire, or just listen. The group leader reads aloud a poem or short story. Shared Reading is a group session that takes place weekly for about an hour. It is fully subscribed at the moment but names can be taken for a reserve list by contacting the Literacy Team. Venue rotates between Tickhill Library and Central Library. Sets can be ordered in advance through your local library.
